These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and TradieSwap Ltd ("TradieSwap", "we", "us", "our"). They cover the TradieSwap marketplace, website and mobile app. TradieSwap Ltd is registered in England and Wales (company no. 17250384), registered office 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA.
TradieSwap introduces homeowners ("customers") to construction tradespeople ("trades"). We are a marketplace only: the contract for any building work is made directly between you and the other user. We are not the contractor, we do not do the work, and we are not a party to your contract with the other user.
You must be 18 or over to use TradieSwap. You agree to give accurate, current information about yourself and your business, and to keep your login secure.
Once you select a trade and their contact details are shared, it is your responsibility to contact that trade and progress the job. TradieSwap is not responsible if a customer does not reply, delays, or changes their mind after details have been shared, and lead fees are not refunded on that basis (see the Refund Policy).
Trades express interest in jobs for free. A lead fee is charged only when the customer selects the trade and the customer's contact details are shared. The price is always shown before you commit. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers. Fees are exclusive of VAT, which is added at 20% at checkout, and a VAT invoice/receipt is provided for every charge.

Lead fee refunds are assessed case by case under our Refund Policy. We do not apply a blanket "all fees are non-refundable" rule, but fees are not refunded simply because a job did not go ahead for reasons outside our control.
Our verification checks (ID, insurance and qualifications) confirm what we were shown at the time of the check. The badge is not a guarantee that insurance is still valid later, nor that any work will be of good quality. Verification files are deleted after the check — see the Privacy Policy. When insurance or a qualification expires, that part of the badge drops off until it is renewed.
Reviews can be left only when a job is marked complete on TradieSwap — paying a lead fee alone does not unlock a review. The Reviews Policy applies to all reviews.
You keep ownership of the content you upload (photos, job descriptions, profile text, reviews). You grant us a licence to host and display it on the platform for as long as the content is on the platform.
TradieSwap is a marketplace; the building work is contracted between you and the other user, and we do not guarantee workmanship. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Subject to that, our liability for any claim is capped at the total lead fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. You can delete your account at any time in the platform (website or app) — Profile or Trade Profile → Delete account. Where the law requires (for example invoices for tax purposes), we keep some records after deletion, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Complaints about the platform: info@tradieswap.co.uk — we acknowledge complaints within 5 working days. Complaints about the building work itself are between the customer and the trade.
Use the Report button on jobs, profiles, messages and reviews, or contact info@tradieswap.co.uk, to report illegal or abusive content.
These Terms and any disputes under them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
If we make material changes, we email registered users. Continued use after a change does not waive your right to object.
